anyway…i still had fun =) seeing e cadets again…eating and playing with them…really brings back memories! haha! at 1st…waited frm 12pm-1pm for ppl 2 turn up even though were supposed 2 meet @ 12pm @ city hall…sadly there were others who couldnt come last min (haiz…so sad). then we went 2 marina sq GV 2 see got wad movie 2 watch…it was fail…so we ended up going pizza hut 4 lunch! haha! i treated 1 cadet (cuz he was e lucky one 2 share table wid e CIs) and e rest of e CIs to pizza…the rest of e meal was go dutch. and e cadets were so nice 2 celebrate jin yuan birthday 2day! even bought cake…HUGE one somemore…we couldnt finish so we gave some 2 e pizza hut ppl! haha! and this time…nt birthday boy kena caked…cadet kena caked by birthday boy…LOL! jin yuan said he was touched…aww! then we went 2 play pool…again it was MY TREAT! haha! after that…i left 4 life saving training while e others went 4 bowling…lol!

my body is aching now =( played 5 different sports 2day…basketball, ping pong (haha…olympics fever), badminton, volleyball and (the usual) frisbee! feeling rather tired now…but i gotta hang on! prelims are nearing…gotta study man!

NPCC Passing Out Parade 2008.
finally…after 6 years of hard work, determination and giving my best to the unit! the videos, pictures and songs really got my emotions stirring again. after all…these are e ppl i hav been training with since sec1 or i hav been working with since NCO days. Thank you guys 4 all those memories! i will definitely treasure them! After all…friends and memories are like jewels…precious but rare!

Holiday 2mr! =) + mini old classmates gathering! im kinda looking forward 2 it =) badminton + ping pong @ clementi sports hall! haha.

after that…got lessons =( haiz… ill miss the fireworks =( enjoy urselves ppl (whoevers going)!

Do not throw away someone for your dreams. Bring that person with you and accomplish that dream together.

after all those trainings and rehearsals…it is finally the real thing! YAY!

much of the day was spent spamming photos…haha! alot of them is with zhiguang..shall get from him another day and ill post it at Flickr again =) the rest of the day was juz filled with excitement and super high-ness! and of cuz the usual rehearsals and stuff.

it was good and satisfying seeing the cadets feeling so high and proud to represent NPCC in the national day parade. it was also heart warming to see them finally perfecting their drills and to show them off to millions of ppl both live and on television. good job cadets! im proud of you!

had a mini post parade celebration with sparkling juice provided by the organisers…lol! had the traditional yum seng and of cuz followed by a cheer! then we left the place and headed back to cck. the entire bus ride back was juz mad!!! did cheers after cheers…sang songs after songs…haha…really brought me back to the days when i was a cadet myself.

went for dinner with the remaining CIs before finally heading home and KO!

all of a sudden. i find myself serving NPCC for 6 years already.

6 years..it is neither long nor short. yet looking back…i spent nearly half my secondary and JC life in NPCC. hanging up my uniform and retiring officially was never on my mind ever since sec3…this feeling became more intense when i passed out as a cadet inspector on 23rd dec 06. although NPCC life has been filled with regrets and ifs…i find myself actually loving this whole experience. one memorable and probably my proudest moment of my NPCC life is to participate in NPAP08 as a contingent commander. as always…the most memorable part of my NPCC life will be and always be CIBTC D06 (thanks guys, especially those in delta sq, 4 those memories).

to my officers: thank you for believing in me and appointing me as the unit leader during my NCO days. thank you for all the support that you have given me all these years. thank you for the guidance provided too.

to those who were in NPCC with me from sec1 to 4: thank you for all those cooperation and support you all have provided me.

to my juniors: thank you for allowing me to lead you guys. now that i am handing over, please do me proud.

to my fellow CIs (NDP, NPAP, CIBTC): thank you for all those memories, both happy and unhappy. thank you for pardoning me due to all my nonsense. thank you for supporting me whenever i need. its been fun and interesting working with you all. may we meet again.

NDP Preview Training was HIGH and FUN! Lol! Especially when the CIs ourselves were having more fun and laughter than the cadets!

These were e things we were doing:
Singing campfire songs, echoing and disturbing NCC and Girl Guides, Cheering random CI names

Somehow…food wasnt that appealing =( most of us din even eat much =( haiz…I guess every week eat KFC also sian liao…lol!

NPCC Promotion Test for Year1s and 2s
Was appointed the “chief-examiner”…haha! Maybe cuz I was the most senior one there. Anyway…the results were oh my…it was horrible! its probably the 1st time i fail every single cadet. Even the teachers were so shocked at the results…none of the cadets was up to the standard in my opinion.
1) Uniform not ironed (this is like wtf?!)
2) Drills were nonsense (haiz…nothing 2 say)
3) Totally disregard for the fact that they r having a test (this is the ultimate!)
4) Im stunned and speechless!
In the end…after some persuasion and reasoning wid the teachers…it was decided that we will fail everyone and have a re-test the next training. Some people might think im crazy or mad but if u hav been there…the cadets’ standard were HAIZ….

MOVING ON…
Went for dinner with NCOs and one teacher-officer. Had a lot of fun gossiping and spamming random nonsense =) haha! Then went for drama performance together.

Festival of Arts: Drama
This was the highlight of my day =) haha! Went for drama club’s performance where they put up 3 plays.

The 1st play was rather ok…the best performance was probably by the 2 guys who were acting as girls…haha! Gotta praise the guy acting as “time”…he was really gd at imitating the hand movements of a clock.

2nd play was total nonsense…couldn’t understand a single thing =( so nothing much 2 say =(

3rd play was a classic! Considering that they won SYF Central Judging for Drama 2008: Gold With Honours…it was really worth the money =) will hav 2 thank Joshua and Asher[my classmates] (and of cuz the other drama club members) for putting up such an interesting and comical play for the audience…really enjoyed myself 2nite =)

During our time together,
We bickered but will always make up afterwards,
We also laughed and cried.
Since our meeting was coincidental,
I sometimes think that we may break up one day.
However, being in love is like this,
There is nothing to be afraid of.
I now understand the things that I have to do.
That is to work hard and keep on loving.

Went for .38 shooting competition, NDP and lifesaving training 2day…its been a really long day considering that I left home @ 7.30am only to reach home @ 10pm.

.38 shooting competition.
it was rather bad =( 1st…we started late. 2nd…I actually din fire 1 bullet (somehow!!!) so I ended up shooting only 29 out of 30 bullets. 3rd… final score was 110+ out of 200 (probably my lowest ever score 4 a revolver shoot)

NDP 08 NE Show 3
most of my time was spent tuition-ing cadets on maths, chemistry and physics…haha! But it was a rather fun and interesting experience…haha…I have like cadets studying on 1 side of me while another side keep talking 2 me abt dota, battlefield, CS etc. LOL! So I was basically switching frm serious studying 2 fun every now and then. Had pizza hut 4 dinner…which was a gd thing =) e rest was basically the same 4 all other trainings.

Nothing much 2 say here…except that it was very energy consuming 2day =(

as usual…woke up early morning to go to HTA to assemble before heading to Suntec/Marina Floating Platform for NDP 08!

got pissed off while waiting for bus975 @ cck mrt station to go to HTA =(

anyway…2day’s training was rather fulfilling =) managed to have some interaction with e cadets considering that i spent e last few trainings juz talking to CIs. chatted with them so much (actually was more like they keep asking me qns and keep requesting this and that) that i din even have time to finish my dinner (fyi…dinner was @ 4.30pm while lunch was @ 11.30am)…lol! even had a chance to teach a cadet how to do proper essay planning…haha!

left abt 5.30pm to go for lifesaving training. taught CPR 2day and also managed to do some test item training. now my arms and legs are aching from all the kneeling and swimming =(

ok…gonna rest now! need 2 wake up early 2mr to finish up my EE!

had 2 buffet meals 2day…once in e afternoon @ sakura restaurant…and once in HTA after shooting competition.

starved myself during recess…so that got extra "space" for more food 2 go inside…haha!

went sakura restaurant with fish, shaoyi, prav raam, wilson, Jtek, mary, christina, song and daniel leong. our aim was to eat till they store run out of stock…so we ate and ate and ate and ate…was practically eating non-stop for nearly 45mins! LOL! me and fish then spammed mango cake 4 dessert..haha!

left with fish and raam earlier while e rest continued 2 finish up the "job". we probably failed though…but it was a good meal! haha!

went HTA after that for shooting competition. had an enjoyable time interacting wid e competitors cuz i was in charge of briefing room…haha! so got chance to chit chat wid e cadets…lol! ate another buffet dinner after that…and had this wonderful dessert (dunno e name but it was honeydew with sago with coconut milk i think)!

packed up and took alot of random photos (thanks to mr chng…haha)! left the place rather late…ard 8+pm.

2mr got NDP and lifesaving training..another bz and tiring day!

back to ndp training after 1 week of "rest"…

2day is the 1st NE Show. where all the pri5 kids will come and watch.

was assigned(actually was more like no choice…haha!) to take care of bags…so din managed to go down 2 floating platform =( was juz socialising with chun quan and syhami…and listening 2 mp3…relaxing ourselves =) haha!

2day’s NE Show was also the first colours party uncasing ceremony. managed 2 watch e whole ceremony while learning new stuff abt parades. =)

left early 2day to go 4 lifesaving training.

revised and practised CPR. did a mock test also…combined elements of surprise and initiative to stimulate real life situations.

so tired now after 1 whole day out. im gonna slp early 2day =) haha! 1st time slping be4 11pm since exams started…lol!

If only one of us is able to continue living, the one who survives must live on for the both of us and together live a full life.
