My ACS education has officially ended on 10/10/09. 12 years…12 long years…6 years in ACS (Junior), 6 years in ACS (Independent)! Whenever I look back, I am still surprised at the fact that I now belong to the group of people who call themselves TRUE BLUE ACSians. My parents and relatives were never part of the ACS education so I am officially the 1st in my family. Thinking back, I am proud, and will always be, to call myself an ACSian FOR LIFE! The ACS education has really affected me in every aspect of life. I am not here to advertise the ACS education, but I cannot help but realise how much effort ACS has put in to groom me into who I am today. One important lesson I really learnt is "THE BEST IS YET TO BE". Always going for higher grounds, the ACS education has taught me never to accept failures and to always treat them as motivations for success!
One thing I will really miss is the ACS SPIRIT! Until now, I have no answer to the question "What exactly is the ACS spirit?". The ACS SPIRIT is something that is in you, something that all ACSians can identify with, something that you will carry with you for life, something that when someone sees you…he/she will ask "Are you an ACSian?". This ACS SPIRIT is something that really defines the ACS education. It is something that you experience, something that cannot be seen by the eyes, heard by the ears but something that will be felt by the heart.
I am going to skip the primary school part or this post will be longer than my EE. haha =)
6 years. Time really flies. When I stepped out of the school gate yesterday, looked back, it felt that it was juz last month when I first came into the school. Everything has changed. As a sec 1 "kid", I watched the school winning medals after medals, awards after awards. I still remembered that at that time, I felt as if I made the right decision to come to this school (after all, my mum tried to persuade me to go to RI). As a sec 2, I saw the school undergo transformation. I was introduced to the new integrated programme and became the 2nd batch of student to undertake this new education system. As a sec 3, the school underwent operation as construction began for the new IB block. As a sec 4, I never really felt anything but was proud to be the head of NPCC (Sea) and this was probably the highlight of my secondary school life. Year 5 and 6 was juz a totally different experience altogether.
To Gabriel (Classmate for 4 years + CCA mate for 4 years + History classmate for additional 2 years)
You are someone I will never forget! Someone who has really been with me all these years! I cannot imagine life without you in school. *I am not writing a love letter* But being in your class for 4 years, in the same CCA as you for 4 years and being in your history class for additional 2 years has really allowed me to appreciate the friendship we share. Never will I imagine having someone who has so many similar interests as me to be in the same class and cca for 4years! Thank you being my friend!
To my Sec3/4 class (3.15/4.15 of 2005-2006)
I will definitely miss those good times with all of you. All of you brought meaning to "good times" as we went through thick and thin together in Lijiang, China (Sec 3) and Kluang, Malaysia (Sec 4). Those were the times where I can proudly say that I really enjoyed myself despite some unhappy disputes. I will always remember the soccer sessions we had, especially the match ups of Heartlanders vs Aristocrats. I will always remember how we will all pon class together juz to kick a ball around. I will always remember times where we would taupok each other regardless of any occasion. I will definitely remember classes with Mdm Ranjee and Mr Aaron Koh. What each and every one of you have brought to me are not only memories but LIFE. Life as in all of you gave me a chance to taste life. Those times were definitely filled with the four tastes of life. In chinese we would say sour, sweet, bitter and spicy. Thank you guys for those wonderful 2 years! Special mention to the following: Liu Yi, Huang Zi, Song Yeong, Zhen Yi, William Khoo, Hyung Yoon, Ken Wei and Steven Neoh! THANK YOU GUYS! I WILL MISS ALL OF YOU!
Finally, to my Class 5.14/6.14 (Class of 2007-2008)

OK! now…
Haiz…Asher has kinda said what I want to say to you people so do not blame me if I copy parts of his email. Anyway…I cannot imagine what my day would be like without coming to school early, unlocking the door for you people, seeing a "dead" janice walking into class, talking to steven every morning, seeing a "dead" sean walking into class, waking people up for morning assembly. I will definitely miss those times! Like asher said, "No more sitting around SAC tables chatting about the most random stuff in the world. No more randomly shouting ‘SHAO YI!!!!’ and ‘UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH’ along the corridors. No more sitting around during recess playing countless bridge games which often resulted in Janice making funny noises and various Pros Finessing their way through. No more Cheuk Ho with bad grammar and fantastic chinese( not to mention singing abilities). No more Daniel Song breaking in class, no more Zach being a wild child. No more Keng Hsin to shout and scream at us and Peck Hong to threaten us with demerit points. No more Tra-la-la-ing and Ding-Ding-Dong-ing with Victor, no more smashing triumphs at the Anglo-Olympics, no more Imogen Heap death scenes, no more smashing people with the light cover that Victor wonderfully smashed off." 2 years and so many things have happened! This year especially when all of us keep ponning class to watch micheal phelps break records, watch s’pore women’s table tennis team win a silver medal and many many many more! Really…I have to agree with asher that if we were to list everything down, it will be the next day already!
Yet, I cannot help but list these really unforgettable stuffs down:
1) Physics Class quotes:
a) Life goes on!
b) Everything also very generic
c) Stun!
2) My top 2 memorable quotes:
a) BUY ONE ALL SHARE!
b) THICK FACE!
3) 6.14 "warcries":
a) SHAAAAAAAYEEEEEEEE
b) Shaoyi’s house!
c) Whoaa whoa whoa…..whoa….whoaaaa….
d) DING DING DONG, TRA LA LA
e) NA JIU SHI WO!!!!!!!!!!
4) 6.14 dance:
a) Soulja boy!
b) The way I are
Another thing, I will definitely CENTRESTAGE no matter wad! It was something I really enjoyed doing with all of you guys! Something that brought LIFE into year 6! Those were the times where all of us went through EVERYTHING together! Maths portfolio, IAs, EEs, homeworks etc etc. Centrestage was really something that kinda defines our class. Divided yet united in a way! I always cannot understand how I have become so unfamiliar with some of you but yet at the end of day I will miss being your classmate! I guess we can call it…the Fourteen Spirit! =) haha! I know I brought laughter into many of your lives through my antics and lousy english! Even though sometimes I am hurt, I guess it is part and parcel of life. At least I am remembered by you people right? haha! And I know all of you love my policeman image! haha!
Sometimes, it pains me to see how divided our class can be at times. Somehow, Fuzhou, China trip was probably one of the best moments of class unity I ever seen! I really miss those times when all of us would crash each other’s rooms to juz talk or play non-stop bridge games. I will always miss those times singing backstreet boys, jay chou, westlife and even SHE songs with you people on the bus. The games we played with the kids, those camera-whoring moments and those eating together at a table really bring tears to me as we end our days as a class. I had actually wanted to relive those moments again through the class trip to Hong Kong but too bad only 8ppl are going. It really breaks my heart but it is ok. I know you guys do not really mean to reject me like this.
Asher’s words really enlightened me. "Cao the ultimate comedian and fun-guy, our choir girls, Debbie the music virtuoso. Our incredible Ultimate Frisbee team, our outstanding ruggers and medal-winning swimmers, our special and unique GEPs who added that extra spice to our class. I cannot think of our class without every individual person adding to the overall wonderful mix of insanity and fun-loving personality we had. We’re special, no other class can claim to have such consistently low MSGs in every subject!" This is really something I am absoutely proud of whenever people mention 6.14 of 2008! Look at our class, it is like ROJAK! EVERYTHING MIXED AND BLENDED together but the end result is still delicious! People always say that rojak is a very singapore thing but right now I would beg to differ. After all, our class have malaysians, china chinese, vietnamese, sri lankan and hongkie.
I will not be an asher and talk about parting ways cuz we have prom night! So…final words: ALL THE BEST FOR IB! I MISS YOU PEOPLE!
The colours of red, blue and gold will always be a part of me!

In days of yore from western shores
Oldham dauntless hero came
and planted a Beacon of Truth and Light
in this island of the Main.
Here may it stand from year to year
emblem of grand endeavour
The regions round echo the sound
of A.C.S. forever.
(Chorus)
Sing A.C.S. forever more,
our A.C.S. forever.
God save our land and heaven bless
our A.C.S. forever.
Our students hail from China’s plains
and the Land of Rising Sun.
We have many sons from India’s strand
and the islands of the Main.
Our hearts our hopes our aims are one.
No discord e’er will sever.
We’ll stand together for the cause
of A.C.S. forever.
(Chorus again)
Sing A.C.S. forever more,
our A.C.S. forever.
God save our land and heaven bless
our A.C.S. forever.
