just when i thought saturdays were meant for me to sleep in, had to wake up at 6.30am to go to Singapore Discovery Centre for 1AMB Family Day organised by SAF 1AMB. meeting former coursemates and talking about all e weird encounters we have so far in gedong were e main highlights there. it was basically juz another platform 4 us to interact with each other, like after our very 1st cohesion day. went to IMAX theatre to watch this 3D movie called dolphins and whales…it was a documentary telling viewers that we should protect these marine mammals as they are near extinction. sadly…the beautiful and memorable ocean graphics could not sustain the viewers for long as the narrator was rather boring. but it was still an interesting docu as the producers managed to get REAL close to the mammals…filming wonderful detailed graphics.

left the place after the show to meet janice, debbie, sean, jono for lunch at suki sushi. although it was like arranged quite some time ago…i somehow forgot about it totally until like 2nights ago…through facebook! haha! well…without < was a different eating experience (especially when im e only one spamming teriyaki chicken..at the rate i was eating i probably killed a whole chicken already) but nonetheless it was something not to forget. so far…i have eaten suki like 5times? and if i rmbr correctly…all 5times were with .14 ppl…haha! its becoming our favourite buffet hangout =) each meeting with these friends brings new things to talk and laugh about…like we were "singing" mulan’s ill make a man out of you and my outburst of insensitive computer touchscreen accompanied by sean’s uninsensitive. LOL! and to think we only met like 3days ago..yet we still hav so much to talk about. guess this is wad lifetime friendship can do…being able to communicate with each other about anything under e sun yet not feeling bored at any point in time. din managed to stay for long though…especially when all of us came out feeling so full. we probably made our $26 worth it!

went to watch transformers yesterday night with sean, dinesh, asher, steven, janice and jono. wanted to blog about it yesterday but returned home rather late. anyway…this transformers is totally AWESOME! and especially when im watching with these bunch of ppl (with the sad exclusion of <, debbie, cao, raam).

i guess even till now…friends in acs are those that will really STICK WITH YOU FOR LIFE no matter where u are and who u become. juz take a look at those who i knew since sec1…especially songyeong…its a kind of frenship that is beyond imagination cuz u know who will be there for u when u need them.

back to e movie…i was warned that i should not spoil e movie for ppl…so i shall only say that megan fox + sexy cars + gundam-lookalike optimus = BEST MOVIE EVER! and oh…straits time rate is 1/2star out of 5stars…WTF?!?!

and to whoever who says megan fox is a male…ill slaughter that person! SHE 100% PURE FEMALE!

did i ever mention that e army is known to make last min changes to any decisions already made?

so it seems that i will not be going for the M113 course anymore…instead ill be posted to 19FMD at sungei gedong. that means…ill be meeting up with my frens at 46SAR =) *see u guys at gedong soon!* however…it also means that ill probably need to stay in…according to my depot commander. haiz…no more booking out every evening to enjoy the comfort of my computer and bed =( but ill be saving alot of travelling time though!

anyway…it seems to be more pros than cons so i guess im not too upset about it =) ah well…looking forward to unit life now! no more trainee life! yeah! =D i guess ill hav more freedom now…hehe! will be hoping to get into MSCC and Driver course…all the best!

1) Seems like ill be staying in OETI for another 2weeks to attend another course: M113 maintenance course.

2) Sad to say, good to know, nice to hear…looks like I might not get posted to any armour unit after all.

3) If my calculations are correct, I should get my license by end of August latest. *hint hint* A car would make an excellent birthday gift! =D

4) Finally passed by Award Merit exam after 1year of delay due to IB exams and NS obligations.

5) Waiting for transformers to start showing!

today will mark the 1st day of the last week of my stay in OETI. its been quite an eventful 3months so far with many interesting things happening every single day. most importantly i made new friends from diverse backgrounds and even managed to learn a life lesson or two from them.

tomorrow will be my BX course practical assessment. not that im worried about it but i guess its gonna be a gauge for myself to see how much i really absorbed so far. this will give me a good indication of my workrate and work efficiency when i go to e unit in 1week’s time.

more to come when im not so tired on another day. especially since i juz came back from my driving lessons. ZZzzzzzzZZZZzzzz
