Life has never been so busy like this week

April 25, 2009

This whole week has really been one hell of busy period! Have been sleeping late and waking up early everyday…doing stuffs that I sub-consciously got aimed for: Preparing for my wing’s cohesion day outing. This includes proposals, recees, doing up safety plans, finalizing accounts and even getting scolded everyday for the tiniest things.

It is really not something I enjoy doing, especially since I have to sacrifice sleep and free time everyday. Luckily things are finally done 2day which really gives me time to take a breather during the weekends, juz enough time to recharge my batteries to concentrate on serious work. Despite all that saikang and ‘bullets’ I have to take, I managed to take back something from this: the ability to plan and execute events within time constraints. I never had a chance to do such planning on a large scale before thus this experience was something new.

This week has also cost me to miss alot of lessons. Looks like I am going to have a tough time catching up with the rest, although I would actually like to think otherwise going by the uninterested learning attitude of my class. Even though I dare say I probably know more than them at this point in time, I would still like to reserve some thoughts whereby they were taught something that I missed out somewhere along the way. This will only cause me to improve further and encourage me to continue my learning passion.

Sad to say, havent been in contact with any of my friends this week. This busy week has really taken its toll on my health and time. For example, I was supposed to meet my Secondaty School friends for a gathering 2day yet I had to finish up my proposals for approval if not I will have to bear the consequences. My health has also taken a downhill with constant blocked nose, occasional slight fever, constant aching of muscles and a never-seem-to-be-able-to-be-cured flu!

Hoping this weekend would do me good as I seek to rest my body and my mind. Praying that next week would be much more relaxing for me!

The more we get together….

April 19, 2009

Even though I was tired after guard duty…I managed to get myself out of my bed to meet my former classmates for some sort of a mini .14 gathering…it was to welcome jiahe back to singapore! Its been months since we last saw her and this gathering probably meant alot to both jiahe and the rest of .14.

The .14 members who made it were: shaaaayeeee, steven, juno(jono), sean,<, cao, asher, janice, thanh, dinesh and myself. Although i probably spoiled the mood in e beginning due to my sleepyness…i guess everyone had fun juz catching up with each other through jokes, army experiences, university stuffs and even former classroom antics. We probably created quite a scene at tcc with all that loud laughing but they probably wouldnt mind since we spent quite alot there too. haha!

In the midst of all that fun and laughter…i dare say deep down all of us wished that we could turn back time and return to .14…after all its the place where we spent 2 good years in IB….suffering, playing, enduring, slacking and finally finishing! Some people ever told me before that jc life is usually one of the most memorable part of one’s life…before this i had doubts but now i think i 100% agree with this statement.

All good things must come to an end. It was time for us to leave but i could sense the unwillingness in everyone and we ended up wasting another dunno-how-many minutes before everyone finally seperated and departed…only to look forward to another gathering in time to come.

Even though this song is about everlasting love between two people but I feel that it can be applied in our friendship. It is something that I would like to present to all members of .14 Class of 2008.

Our Song by Wang Li Hong

KISS GOODBYE
有没有一句能够动人心弦
YEAH~

情人总分分合合
可是我们却越爱越深
认识你让我的幸福
如此悦耳
能不能不要记得
继续唱我们的歌
让感动一辈子都记得

Good things come in pairs while bad things keep rolling towards you

April 16, 2009

Shall start with the 2 good things 1st.

1. Jiahe is back in Singapore! For a holiday i presume. Its been nearly 5months since we last saw her. This will be a good chance for 6.14 to have a mini gathering to reminisce about the good old times especially since many of us have not been in contact since results day. It will also be a good time for the guys to catch some fresh air, away from army life!

2. I got selected to be the national flag escort for my unit’s OC Parade 2day. This brought back many good memories since my NPCC days! After all, its been years since I last held a M16 rifle to do drills. I really miss those days!

Ah well…good things come in pairs!

Now…the bad things…since monday…but im juz gonna summarize it.

Firstly, a laptop was lost in the workshop due to negligence so all of us had to search for it high and low. Then we realised that it got stunned by a certain group of people even though they denied it but well, we couldnt do anything about it since it was our fault in the 1st place. This was not enough as there was stand-by area after that. Apparently not many people knew the exact areas we had to clean thus there was a major mess up. So everyone tio screwed again. Well, it was rather late already so we were let off for the time being. Today, we had stand-by tool box which was even worse because we realised that many tools went missing! Again we got screwed and had to cover every inch of the workshop for the missing tools. Adding up all three days, I think we did at least 200 push ups each day for 3 consecutive days as punishments. But I guess we were quite lucky enough to not get any confinements and/or extra duties. Haiz…

tomorrow…blood donation and guard duty!

Rain rain go away….

April 11, 2009

WOW! one whole week since i last blogged! thats rather long…..

anyway….

At last! I got my booking for my driving theory and practical lessons! YAY! I can finally start my journey to be a class3 driver! hahaha! So glad that I can finally convince my mother to let me take up driving course so that I wun be wasting my time. Starting lessons 2mr onwards…

2day was fish’s first weekend off ever since he got into OCS so we decided to call him out. So we agreed to meet each other at vivocity at 3pm…but as usual…people were late! haha…i have to say im one of the guilty parties =) hehe. Met janice at harbourfront mrt station before heading to level2 of vivocity to find jono and sean (both were rather early…compared to me). and when we realise…our star  of the day is LATE! Decided to juz walk around and around until we came upon candy empire where sean bought sweets while jono decided to go Giant and buy mineral water that cost only 60cents per bottle! whoo…!

fish finally arrived! Went over to sentosa only to realise that the sky was turning dark…and before we knew it…the rain poured! OH MY…it was total bad luck or something la…haiz! juz at this moment…we realised we were in the middle of the pavillion surrounded by people who were having some sort of orientation going on! they were like cheering…screaming…singing…dancing…playing…so noisy! we got bored…then we realised that none of us had cards (ARGH!) so janice decided to make them instead…using foolscap paper! by the time we finished our paper cards…the rain subsided! but anyway…they played a round of bridge before we head out to the beach and play our frisbee!

a long long long long time since i played frisbee with them! it felt good! and i really cant ask for more!

heard jiahe’s coming back next week! so hope we can hav another gathering…even though sean may not make it =( but i believe there will be other chances!

Update.

April 4, 2009

Havent been blogging for quite some time already =(

Well…I am currently attending course on Bronco ATTC repair and maintenance. Which means…I usually end work around 6pm-6.30pm even though on paper it says it is a 8am-5pm job. Sad to say…good to know…most people think technician vocation is a slack and easy one…but NO! its probably one of the worst vocation u want to be in especially when u smell oil and coolant every single day. it is probably also one of the dirtier job in the army since most vehicles that come to u are filled with mud, sand, dust and dirt!

It has been both physically and mentally challenging so far. Especially when u have to ‘tahan’ the heat in such small confined space. I think the amount of sweat I perspire for the past week is more than what I perspire when I play frisbee…haha! Ah well…at least im learning something right now =) so next time anyone got engine problem…can come find me 1st…save some money…hehe! =D

And because it is so energy draining…I usually end up sleeping quite early and having not much energy to message some ppl…causing misunderstandings =( I even broke my promise of messaging certain ppl everyday =( I apologize for this.

2 more weeks of Bronco (i think) before I proceed on with my course with either the BX or Leopard!
