National Day Parade 2008

August 10, 2008

after all those trainings and rehearsals…it is finally the real thing! YAY!

supposed to post photos..but the file size too large =( but its ok…i hav posted it on Flickr…you can go view the photos there =) heres the url: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29397540@N02/

much of the day was spent spamming photos…haha! alot of them is with zhiguang..shall get from him another day and ill post it at Flickr again =) the rest of the day was juz filled with excitement and super high-ness! and of cuz the usual rehearsals and stuff.

it was good and satisfying seeing the cadets feeling so high and proud to represent NPCC in the national day parade. it was also heart warming to see them finally perfecting their drills and to show them off to millions of ppl both live and on television. good job cadets! im proud of you!

had a mini post parade celebration with sparkling juice provided by the organisers…lol! had the traditional yum seng and of cuz followed by a cheer! then we left the place and headed back to cck. the entire bus ride back was juz mad!!! did cheers after cheers…sang songs after songs…haha…really brought me back to the days when i was a cadet myself.

went for dinner with the remaining CIs before finally heading home and KO!

on a side note: Jiayou Team Singapore for the olympics!

There is a distance between us since leaving the seaport.
I made a wish as I tossed a bottle, filled with nothing but tears.
I see the sea and sky merging as one,
Casting the blame on me as I cannot feel your presence.

Flowers scattered all over in whiteness,
I have loved your face, which stayed momentarily.
The southern winter is coming,
Yet my warm heart cannot seem to let go and move on.

As I search for the visage of love,
I sense you disappearing with the high tide.
And becoming the postcard in my memory.

Your love has flown far away, like migrating birds, till it cannot be seen.
My sorrows turning into disarray,
As I hold back my tears, with my face looking towards the north,
Seeing you bid farewell to the south.

6 years.

all of a sudden. i find myself serving NPCC for 6 years already.

6 years..it is neither long nor short. yet looking back…i spent nearly half my secondary and JC life in NPCC. hanging up my uniform and retiring officially was never on my mind ever since sec3…this feeling became more intense when i passed out as a cadet inspector on 23rd dec 06. although NPCC life has been filled with regrets and ifs…i find myself actually loving this whole experience. one memorable and probably my proudest moment of my NPCC life is to participate in NPAP08 as a contingent commander. as always…the most memorable part of my NPCC life will be and always be CIBTC D06 (thanks guys, especially those in delta sq, 4 those memories).
