Once an ACSian–Always an ACSian

in 8hrs time…liverpool will be taking on chelsea in the 2nd leg of champions league semi-final. all liverpool fans…lets believe in the players and rafa =) and let us all support them so their names will go down in history =)

anyway…sch was rather BORING 2day…haiz…i practically learned nothing =( but there was something really interesting…we(dsong, yahee, nic chew, christina and i) were playing bingo…lol…but modified version….25 boxes were drawn and u can put numbers 1-50 into e boxes…then every player will call out a number and try 2 have 5-in-a-row…every 5-in-a-row will earn u a ‘b’,'i’,'n’,'g’,'o’ respectively…so the 1st player to get BINGO wins!! at 1st i wasnt involved then suddenly they wanted me 2 join them so i was like ok lor…so we started playing…but later on they regretted their decision cuz i end up winning 6 out of 7 games =) LOL…OWNAGE!!!

its feels good when ur history test is finally over =) hahaha..thats probably the best thing that happened 2day when the teacher finally says time’s up! =)

there were 4 qns 2 choose from and i had 2 answer 2 of them. the topic was China’s history from 1900-1949. so i chose qns1: Assess the importance of the May Fourth Movement from 1919-1925 and qns3: Evaluate the contributions of the Long March(1934-1935) on the final victory of the Chinese Communist Party. i think ill probably do better in qns1 as i could explain and elaborate all my points better than qns3..juz hope ill pass e test so dun need 2 go 4 concentration camp =)

looking forward 2 thursday now!! its a public holiday!!! hahaha…really need a break from all these sch work and stress…labour day is just nice actually =) then i can sleep late and watch champions league match liverpool vs chelsea on thurs morning =) haha

even when i grow old and cannot remember anything, there is something ill never forget, i will never forget you!

YES! at last…i got TOK out of my sight =) now its time 4 history IA and English A1 World Literature Essay.

juz learned from kum leong we actually have only about 70 school days left before final exams…wow…time flies man =) soon…all of us will be sitting in that big big big hall doing our IB exams…and before u know it…the guys will be off for national service and just wait abit more…we will all be getting our results already…cant imagine time flying so fast.

basically i have my May and June schedule planned out =) will be concentrating on English World Lit Essay before doing my Hist IA…in between will have NPCC Day @ ACS(Indp) so that means training…im keeping my fingers cross that my EE will not be returned to me within this period…then on e 23rd-25th May ill be off to pulau ubin 4 NPCC ATC =) then that will mean the end of the term 2 =) 1st week of holidays will be English A1, Physics and Chemistry extra lessons (although the school calls it concentration camp..lol) then 30th May-1st June…off to ubin again 4 another ATC as lifesaver and first aider =) then its spamming studies till 1st week of June (start of mid yrs) with occasional slacking moments of cuz =) haha..hope i can keep to my plan though =D OH YA..i forgot something…ill be going down for National Day Parade @ Marina trainings every sat =)

and michelle…stop trying to persuade me 2 not go 4 ATC =) haha. cuz studying all e time will not work at all…so ATC is a way for me 2 relieve stress =) OK! LOL! if u continue to try 2 persuade me…wo gen ni fan lian =) hahaha..joking la =)

i am so pissed right now.

woke up in the morning juz to realise that my laptop is missing..tot was probably kept away by my parents as they were doing house cleaning 2day so ok lor…i decided to eat my breakfast 1st and relax abit be4 starting my work.

then i ask my father where my laptop is..he says he dunno so he helped me ask my mother and guess wad…she confiscated my laptop while im asleep and gave no reason for doing so. this is so what the something-that-rhymes-with-duck!!! i mean…if u wanna take away my laptop fine..but at least tell me e F***ing reason!!! then when i want it back 2 do my sch work..she says since u dun wanna ask when u already realised its missing then why ask now…im like what the something-that-rhymes-with-duck!!! this is so freaking annoying and frustrating and she decides to leave the house and dun wanna answer my calls…

wads the meaning of this? u take my laptop 4 no reason…leave the house…dun wanna answer my calls!!! then now i cant do my work..make me waste my whole afternoon!!! so if later at night i gotta do my work and gotta slp late…u blame me again huh!!! so hav u ever wondered that it is initially ur fault and nt cuz i play too much and never do my work!!!! HUH!!!! y issit that u cant see that sometimes ur in the wrong…y muz it always be ur e one who is correct?!?! juz becuz ur my mother doesnt give u that authority to confiscate my laptop 4 no reason!!!! 

so now..here i am all alone at home staring into space doing absolutely nothing..m only able to blog now cuz im using my bro’s laptop…but my work are all in my own =(

give me a knife now and i will kill someone…no hesitation! 

ACS(Ind) Swimming Pool, Saturday, April 5, 2008 - Students of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) completed 9,520 laps (about 450km) and raised $7,109 as part of a global effort against malaria earlier this month.

The Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) Swim Against Malaria, organized by the school’s Student Council, was sponsored by TYR and attracted about 300 students and teachers,, including the principal Dr Ong Teck Chin, who swam 10 laps.

The event was part of World Swim Against Malaria 2008, in which an estimated one million people from all over the world swam together against malaria. Organised by the Against Malaria Foundation, this event aims to raise money to buy long-lasting insecticidal nets to prevent pregnant mothers and children in Africa from being bitten by malaria-carrying insects.

Representatives from the Singapore Book of Records were present to verify a new record was set for the most number of laps swum in 6 hours (from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) – a whopping 7026 laps.

Said Fraser Peh, a student councillor of ACS(Ind): “The Student Council felt that this was a meaningful event, especially since all the funds raised will benefit needy people who are not in our direct society. We also hope that this will inspire youths to rally together for good causes in the future.”

I was part of the 300 that swam =) i personally did 40 laps..probably could hav done more but was constrained by time =(

2day was english paper2 test..felt rather ok even though was forced to change question 20mins into the test. thinking back it was rather funny…when my classmates and i recieved our qns papers…the very 1st thing that we saw was qns3…it was exactly the same as what we had done during class practice..so most of us decided that since we have done it be4 and had even gone through the analysis in class be4…might as well take e easiest way out…

BUT…20mins later…jamie tan walked in…saw the qns paper…got a shock and even said wads e pt on doing this test then…so she wrote on e whiteboard…those in my class do not do qns 3 (not exact words but something close)…we were all like OH NO!!!! especially since some of us had written like 2-3paragraphs…but i guess its nt a bad thing after all…trying out a different type of qns..and of cuz i dun blame her…since she wasnt the one who set the paper and by her reaction she obviously havent seen the paper be4..and she actually apologized to us…i mean..where can u find such a teacher around these days =)

i gotta give credit 2 her though. it felt as if u suddenly have a fortune teller 4 a teacher..WOW! imagine she spotting qns 4 ur final IB exam?! how great would that be =) MDM..I SALUTE U!!!

so…got down to work again…had 2 replan my essay and waste alot of paper (speaking of which..its earth week but hahaha…LOTS of paper juz got wasted) but overall…i think ill probably do quite well..i predict probably a 15/25 =) which is rather good 4 me already…haha XD

after the test…we(sean, maria, janice, jono and i) were outside discussing abit and juz sitting around..then maria offered bubblegum =) she was actually chewing bubblegum throughout the test but guess wad..she cant blow bubbles but somehow succeeded after some coaching. the next thing we found out was janice and jono couldnt too…but janice decided to try and end up spitting out the gum..LOL =D good de-stress after e test eh

chem test 2day wasnt that bad..juz couldnt finish e paper thats all =( which is quite a sad thing considering that i actually know wad i am doing most of e time but haiz…time too short…i muz learn 2 work faster =(

physics test was much better although i think i screwed up 1 whole qns on half-life =( which is actually sad cuz i tot i did it the correct way initially..only 2 find out that i missed out 1 important step..haiz…things juz dun go my way 2day…

history was worse…time seemed to crawl during history 2day…totally din enjoy myself although i tried to but it seems like 4ever as i sat there doing nothing constructive =(

haiz…wad a day…no one 2 cheer me up =( and now…gotta read my Siddhartha and Huck Finn 4 friday’s test and chiong my TOK be4 i start procrastinating again…
